Disrupting My Comfort Zone
I was 45 years old when I decided to learn how to surf. They say that life is tough enough. But I guess I like to make things difficult on myself, because I do that all the time, every day and on purpose. Thats because I believe in disrupting my comfort zone. When I started out in the entertainment business, I made a list of people that I thought would be good to me. Not people who could give me a job or a deal, but people who could shake me up, teach me something, challenge my ideas about myself and the world. So I started calling up experts in all kinds of fields. Some of them were world-famous. Of course, I didnt know any of these people and none of them knew me.
So when I called these people up to ask them for a meeting, the response wasnt always friendly.
And even when they agreed to give me some of their time, the results werent always what one might describe as pleasant. Take, for example, Edward Teller, the father of the hydrogen bomb. It took me a year of begging and more begging to get to him to agree to meet with me. And then what happened? He ridiculed me and insulted me.But that was okay. I was hoping to learn something from him—and I did, even if it was only that Im not that interesting to a physicist with no taste for our pop culture. Over the last 30 years, Ive produced more than 50 movies and 20 television series. Im successful and, in my business, pretty well known. So why do I continue to subject myself to this sort of thing? The answer is simple: Disrupting my comfort zone, bombarding myself with challenging people and situations —this is the best way that I know to keep growing. And to paraphrase a biologist I once met, if youre not growing, youre dying. So maybe Im not the best surfer on the north shore, but thats okay. The discomfort, the uncertainty, the physical and mental challenge that I get from this—all the things that too many of us spend our time and energy trying to avoid—they are precisely the things that keep me in the game.

Education has played an increasingly crucial role in modern so-ciety. We aim education on different levels at cultivating the to-be successors of our global village. One important goal that education is trying to achieve is help students master the ways to acquire knowledge.
Of all the capabilities one can develop to acquire knowledge in being educated, three sorts are of the greatest significance.First of all, students who are receiving education definitely know that they are always ignorant of some branches in th eocean of knowledge, which can keep them modest and more willing to explore their unfamiliar realms, even deeper if theyve already done so. Moreover, students can imitate what their teachers or professors do in or our of class and then gradually acquire the ability to undertake more scientific re-search and intellectual inquiries alone. Last but not least,youngsters who are accustomed to being educated at school or college are more likely to keep studying as a life-long habit,which will have a substantially positive effect on their own life and the future of the human world.
In my perspective, education is one of the most marvelous social inventions that ever existed in human history. Without it, the whole globe can never continue developing further in a civilized and prosperous direction.

Appearance anxiety can cause us a lot of problems. Not only does this lead to many harmful behaviors, such as excessive exercise,eating disorders,and even cosmetic surgery, which can affect our physical health, it can also have a negative impact on our mental health,making us feel anxious,even depressed, and plunging us into deep self-doubt.

Currently, a mass of college students just follow others choices,ignoring their own features and other possibilities. People are now increasingly aware of the challenges the elderly face in a digital world. We can trace this issue to a few factors.
For one thing, the digital world undergoes rapid changes.There is no doubt that every few years, the digital technology and related equipment might be transformed considerably or even fundamentally, demanding rather quick adaptation of their users. For another, the elderly people generally fail to keep up with the trend of the digital world due to the gradual loss of their faculties and learning capability resulting from their age. In no way can we deny that most people in their late years have great difficulty in gaining access to the internet as it is getting smarter and more sophisticated.
It must be admitted that such a digital gap exerts considerable negative impact on the elderly. There will be more and more old people, esp. when we are stepping into the aging society,who are deprived of all the convenience brought by the digital age or even the necessary abilities to survive in the fast-changing world.
It is my sincere hope that the further development of digital world can be more friendly to the aged so that they won t suffer much while the others are enjoying it greatly.
