波東寺（Phodong Monastery）建于1721年。1947年毀于一場(chǎng)大火，1948年重建。一年一度的查姆節(jié)于陰歷10月28、29日慶祝。
Phodong Monastery is situated in the northern part of the state of Sikkim. It lies at a distance of approximately 28 km from the capital city of Gangtok. One of the six most important monasteries of Sikkim, Phodong dates back to the early 18th century. However, the monastery that we see today is not the original one and was rebuilt. Presently, it boasts of being one of the most beautiful monasteries in the state and serves as the residence of approximately 260 monks.
The monastery also has a rich collection of some ancient murals. The annual festival at Phodang Gompa of India takes place on the 28th and 29th day of the tenth month of the Tibetan Calendar (usually December). The celebrations of the festival include the performance of religious dances by the monks.

For example, some people born in a rich family, they enjoy great chances to be successful, because the fame and the reputation from the family provide them chances. Comparing to those people who born in a poor family, they don’t have such chances, it is hard for them to seize the chances, they need to work for it.The other factor that plays an important role in determining our opportunities are our positive attitude. Opportunity often exists all around us, it is waiting for those people who are brave to grasp it. A person who is positive will perceive the chance, he will not be defeated by fail, still holding the hope that chances comes any minute, so they will grasp the chance as soon as it comes.
In conclusion, everyone has the chance to be successful; it contains many factors, such as coincidence, attitude and others. In order to fulfill our lives, we must seize the chance to realize our dreams.

that are disabling ,or bringing death not only to human beings , but also to wild life .)
from above ,we can find that the reasons why (environment are polluted more and more seriously) are as follows.
The primary reason ,I think , is (the reason of harmful substances into environment . for example ,to prevent insects ,farmers make use of great amounts of insecticides, so as to have bumper harvests . however ,they pollute air ,water and land ).
Second,(the gas coming from the car engines and factories also make environment polluted badly ).
The third reason actually is (the result of a growing population in the world.
Everyday , so much litter and waste are poured out from houses ,also pollute the environment ).
The significance for (controlling pollution ) noted that it’s high time that more effective measures should be taken .
Therefore ,(new laws should be passed to limit the amount of pollutants from factories . moreover ,in the households ,there is an obvious need to reduce litter and waste . let’s make our good efforts ,and the world will be a safer place to live for us ).
