英語(yǔ)作文 篇1
Chapter 1: Essays on independence
Since ancient times, human development and inheritance can not be separated from independence. Independence is an innate demand of human beings, but how can we get real independence?
See the "independence" will think of "free", the two words seem closely related, but the painstaking research will show that although the independence and freedom are the basic human needs, but freedom is a kind of external applied environmental conditions, and is independent of human beings to produce a kind of self the desire, so it is not difficult to see that, to be truly independent, must improve their spiritual level, instead of complaining about the lack of external environment provided by the.
Independence is the highest demand in the process of human growth, and only true and full understanding of ourselves and society can achieve true independence. "Books are the ladder of human progress." reading is no doubt a good way to hone our minds and enlighten our minds. The Ming Dynasty Song Lian's childhood of poverty, learning books, reading something through hardships, finally, to take on the world alone. The knowledge contained in the book can make your soul sublime. The success stories of the people in the book can enrich your experience and make you more mature, so that you can face the problem better and live independently.
The key points of Wang Shouren's famous Ming Dynasty created by the mind is the unity of knowledge, learning enough knowledge, to be truly independent, practice is essential. The young Lu Xun to give up in the domestic medical opportunity is not optimistic about her choice at the time of the study abroad, go to Japan to live independently, eventually realized that the disease is not in the body, but in thought, if he does not go to practice, try to separate, how can abandon medicine from the text, to achieve greater ambition? Try to feel independent, practice independent, can bring you rich experience, and the difficulties encountered in independence, will be more able to hone your wings, so that you can reach a higher spiritual level.
Trees out of the forest are more vulnerable to thunderstorms, and independent practice is also faced with great risks, which requires more experience and knowledge. Some teenagers now desire for independence, so that the wrong understanding of the independent meaning, some of them go to Internet cafes to feel independent of joy, some people even ran away from home, but as everyone knows, the road around the hidden fierce machine, not enough experience and knowledge, they can only fork in the road of life to fall edge.
Humans are growing in the pursuit of independent process, in independent practice, inevitably exposed to wind and rain, but as long as there is a strong will and rich experience of the people, they will be able to once again, the failure to stand up again, look to the sky; only in this way people can enjoy the charm of independence!
Chapter two: learn independent composition
As we all know, the law followed in nature is "survival of the fittest."". Only those who have a good grasp of the law of survival can adapt to the environment more quickly.
In the animal kingdom, animals need self-reliance and self-improvement, as are humans. "Drop your own sweat, eat your own meal, and do your own thing."." This is Mr. Tao Xingzhi's words.
We need to help each other and depend on each other in our social life. Self-reliance is not a refusal to help, rely on, not rely on. If you want to live independently, you must be responsible for your own affairs. In the face of all kinds of things in life, we can only become true self - support only by making clear our own responsibilities and taking the responsibility of ourselves. We should also cultivate our own ability to support ourselves. The most basic thing is to be based on our own current life, the problems in our studies, and start with small things. In order to cultivate independent ability, we should also boldly join in social practice and exercise more and more continuously in social life so as to gradually improve our abilities. So we should cultivate our independent ability. We want to bid farewell to dependence, self-reliance.
However, in today's society, some people are people who rely heavily on ideas. They are called "neet" and are idle all day. These people who have eaten nothing can do great things, and small things are not willing to do them. These people can't live on their own and need help from their parents. However, parents can not take care of their lives for a lifetime, and this dependence on their own development is very harmful. Because it not only makes people lack the sense of responsibility in life, but also causes personality defects. Just want nothing for nothing, for enjoyment, can not adapt to social life, and even endanger society and others, embarked on the road of crime and crime.
If we can not from now on, with the help of parents, consciously reserve independent knowledge, exercise self-reliance ability, cultivate independent spirit, it is difficult to self-reliance in the future society. So learning to be independent is very important to us. If you don't want to be a burden to others and be eliminated by society, you must learn to be independent from your childhood.
Other people's charity is limited, and their skills are infinite. We all have to learn to stand on our own feet and learn to stand on our own feet. It will be a great help to our future.

英語(yǔ)作文 篇4
I Have a Dream
Three hundred years ago, an English poet,Alexander Pope, wrote the lines
Nature, and Nature's laws
lay hid in sight;
God said, let Newton be! And
all was light。
This momentous epitaph came as an encouraging torch to mankind who had long wandered in the valley of ignorance。 It came as an exciting aurora leading to the "Age of Reason。"
But three centuries later, even the "Mansion of Reason" has been furnished and stabilized (and partly reconstructed, we admit) by more "Newtons"。We have to face the tragic fact that came as an exciting aurora leading to the "Age of Reason。 "
But three centuries later, even the "Mansion of Reason" has been furnished and stabilized (and partly reconstructed, we admit) by more "Newtons"。We have to face the tragic fact that mankind, to some extent, is still ignorant。
Pm not dramatizing the appalling conditions by citing the following examples, but being serious。
It once struck me as odd to hear that some physics majors (fortunately not from Fudan) were discouraged from studying the fine structure of equipments during the experimental classes because their laboratory work would be graded according to the time length they spent。
It did make me feel indignant at the fact that some biology majors were still encouraged to draw what they should theoretitally observe instead of what they had actually seen with their
It sounds like medieval education but it is true now in some universities in this world。
It has been three hundred years since the "Age of Reason"began; however, some essential reasons are now still blowing in the wind, rather than taking root in all men's hearts。Among them is the crucial ideathe importance of scientific curiosity。
Without curiosity, students were forced to swallow innumerablefacts, confess their validity and forgetthem after exams。 Without curiosity, learners were bereft of the freedom to imagine, the ability to ask questions and the chances to modify the old theories。 Without curiosity, how could our civilization, the Age of Reason, make progress?
I wrote here today to my readers, that in spite of the conditions of the moment, I still have a dream。 It is a dream of waking up the rational curiosity which inhabits all human beings。
I have a dream that one day university labs will be open for 24 hours to students from any department to testify their own hypotheses and make their own inventions。
I have a dream that one day a professor and a student, or a "boss" and a researcher, will be able to sit down together at the table of equality to discuss problems like classmates or brothers。
I have a dream that one day more "why" questions than "how" questions will be raised by common users of computers or other home facilities so that they will transcend the "press-the button" satisfaction and become expert DIY ers。
It is the dream once carried out by Descartes, Newton and Maxwell in the way of their own times。 And if mankind has not lost his creativity, he should keep it up。
If we keep up this dream, we will live out the true meaning of Montaignesque motto, "We are born to seek and quest after truth。" Not only that, the dream will make us know that we believe what is worth believing and we doubt what deserves skepticism。 It is curiosity that enables us to tell the true from the false。
If we keep up this dream, our material life will no longer be spoiled by unscientific administrations and our spiritual world will no longer be timely intruded by the opium of evil cults because the man and the society will then be armed with reason。
If we keep up this dream and stretch out the antennae of curiosity to explore the creation, we will be conveying new meanings of Shakespeare's lines: "beauty of the world, paragon of animals !"
英語(yǔ)作文 篇5
in some countries where racial prejudice is acute, violence has so come to be taken for granted as a means of solving differences, that it is not even questioned. what is really frightening, what really fills you with despair, is the realization that when it comes to the crunch, we have made no actual progress at all. we may wear collars and ties instead of war-paint, but our instincts remain basically unchanged. the whole of the recorded history of the human race, that tedious documentation of violence, has taught us absolutely nothing. we have still not learnt that violence never solves a problem but makes it more acute. the sheer horror, the bloodshed, the suffering mean nothing. no solution ever comes to light the morning after when we dismally contemplate the smoking ruins and wonder what hit us.
the truly reasonable men who know where the solutions lie are finding it harder and harder to get a hearing. they are despised, mistrusted and even persecuted by their own kind because they advocate such apparently outrageous things own kind because they advocate such apparently outrageous things as law enforcement. if half the energy that goes into violent acts were put to good use, if our efforts were directed at cleaning up the slums and ghettos, at improving living-standards and providing education and employment for all, we would have gone a long way to arriving at a solution. our strength is sapped by having to mop up the mess that violence leaves in its wake. in a welldirected effort, it would not be impossible to fulfil the ideals of a stable social programme. the benefits that can be derived from contructive solutions are everywhere apparent in the world around us. genuine and lasting solutions are always, possible, providing we work within the framework of the law.
before we can even begin to contemplate peaceful co-existence between the races, we must appreciate each other’s problems. and to do this, we must learn about them: it is a simple exercise in communication, in exchanging information, ‘talk, talk talk,’ the advocates of violence say, ‘a(chǎn)ll you ever do is talk, and we are none the wiser.’ it’s rather like the story of the famous barrister who painstakingly explained his case to the judge. after listening to a lengthy argument the judge complained that after all this talk, he was none the wiser. ‘possibly, my lord’ the barrister replied, ‘none the wiser, but surely far better informed.’ knowledge is the necessary prerequisite to wisdom: the knowledge that violence creates the evils it pretends to solve.
英語(yǔ)作文 篇6
Most people think that getting married is a vital ingredient for happiness in life. They don’t, however, recognize the consequences of marriage. Rather than happiness, many are victims of its tormenting attributes. Marriage grants its followers more responsibility toward self and spouse, leading to more stressful lives. Also, the
reduction of one’s freedom is also being in effect, putting a limit toward independence. Lastly, one may not get along well with spouse, triggering redundant conflicts. Hence, it is not an equivalent with happiness.
Marriage leads a major concern to people today with an increase in one’s responsibility. Taking responsibility means that one must always take an initiative in doing things in order to achieve a purpose rather than to wait for others to do it instead. To meet up with others’ expectations, one must do extra in order to achieve. More responsibility means more stress. Feeding a family, for instance, requires a higher salary. Voluntarily, one would start working extra hard to meet up with that expectation. While taking the burden, one may not realize that he/she is piling up stress, an amount too significant that it can never be released. Moreover, it is in human nature to desire for more; there is no limit to one’s desire. To be a good spouse, one may work hard to achieve a goal; after it is attained, he/she may wish for more to be done. Responsibility would come to work again, the cycle then continues, on and on. Once one has piled up endless hours of
labour, he/she may not realize that freedom has been gradually slipping away, in a pace that can never be retrieved.
補(bǔ)充
Freedom is what helps us replenish stress, allowing us to have a healthy being. It is often limited by marriage, in results to endless responsibility. Having freedom restricted is like being locked in a cell, with only so much space to pace around. Freedom and responsibility are directly related; more responsibility means less freedom and vice versa. Just like responsibility, lack of freedom creates huge amount of stress, as well as frustration. When people get frustrated, things get out of hand; one may act without thinking through first, leaving scars in life that can never be erased. It is even more crucial if the couple do not get along well in the first place.
The most critical issue with marriage is that most couples do not get along with each other. When the matter is being recognized, it is usually too late to recuperate. Squabbling is often what happens to couples that do not get along. They do not share the same interest nor matching personal traits; most importantly, they hardly come to an agreement on making decisions. This is when the virtues of marriage all of a sudden disappear. People’s lives would then be constantly filled with conflicts, so frequent that the only way it may cease to an end is through divorce.
The deep-seated element for contentment does not depend upon marriage. More responsibility, less freedom ruins the well-being of human with stress and frustration; the issue of not getting along with spouse also slings gratification into an abyss. Thus, if you hunt for true happiness, perhaps marriage is not what you should seek for.
