誤：We all tried our best, however we lost the game.

　　正：We all tried our best, but we lost the game.

　　(3) 表示驚奇或強調(diào)：相當于how ever的用法，其意為“究竟怎樣，到底以什么方式”。如：

　　However did you get here without a car? 沒有汽車你究竟是怎樣來的呢?

　　However does he manage to write music when he is so deaf? 他聾成這個樣子，究竟是怎樣從事作曲的呢?

　　2. 用作連詞

　　用作連詞，引導方式狀語從句，表示“無論以何種方式”“不管怎樣”。如：

　　However it may be, I shall take your word. 無論如何，我將會相信你的話。

　　However I approached the problem, I couldn’t find a solution. 這一問題我不管怎樣都無法解決。

　　However you travel, it’ll take you at least two days. 無論你怎么個走法，至少要兩天時間。

　　The painting looks wrong however you look at it. 這張畫不論怎么看都顯得不對勁。

　　三、命題切入點

　　高考以however切入命題的可能性主要有兩個方面：

　　1. 直接考查however的用法。如考查其句型結(jié)構(gòu)(尤其是詞序)，考查它與其他相似詞語whatever, whenever, wherever, whichever, whoever等在用法和意義上的區(qū)別。如：

　　【分析】答案選A。根據(jù)句意可知，說話者強調(diào)的是地點，故用wherever。

　　2. 用however作為干擾項進行考查。如：

　　【分析】此題正確答案應選B，句末的 the other day 意為“前幾天”，所以句子應用過去時態(tài)，而選項D不合題意，故選B。此句有兩個難點：一是句中插有 however 一詞，分散了同學們的注意力;二是所填選項B為許多同學所不熟悉的強調(diào)用法。
