I: What do you think a job is?
C: I thittk it is a way to make a living ,of course, but what's more important, a job is a way of developing as a person./I think when a man finds a job he really wants to do, he has stepped on a life stage on which he can play his role. But it is a heavy responsibility, and not always easy to play the part well. /In my opinion, to do a job is to shoulder a burden and to face all kinds of challenges. It calls for bravery and ability./Many people say that a job for a woman is just a place where she sitsfor a while. But as far as I am concerned, what a man can do, a woman can do, too. And for certain sorts of jobs a woman even can do better than a man does./ To my understanding, there are both happiness and bitterness in doing a job. We feel happy when we are able to do it well and we feel bitter when we are unable to do it. Anyway, there, is nothing hard in this world if you dare to scale. Once we set our mind to the job, we can overcome any difficulty and doit well.
I: What kind of work are you doing now?
C: I'm working as an export sales staff member for a foreig
trading company./ I'm serving as a government official./I'm working for a computer company as a programmer./I'm a civil engineer./I'm a market analyst./I'm an electrician by trade.
I: What unit do you work at? (Where are you working?)
C: I work at Beijing Hotel./I'm working at Guangzhou Zhujiang Real Estate Company /I'm now work at Zhuhai Lizhu Medicine (Holdings) Company, Ltd.
I: How long haveyou been working there?
C: I have been working there since 1996.
I: How many employers haveyou worked for?(How many work units have you served?)
C: Three.(Only one, since I've been graduated from the university for just over a year./As many as four. Frankly speaking, I've gained wide experience by changing work unit?
I: What work were you responsible for at your previous work unit?
C: I responsible forbook keeping./I was responsible for advertising designs./I was responsible for commodities inspection./I was in charge of the syatems analyses.
I: What are your responsibilities at your present work unit?
C: As I am administrative secretary, my responsibilities include typing memorandums and reports, receive visitors, answering telephones, arranging appointments, and writing letters for the for the president's signature./ As I am personnel director, my work involves recruitment, training new imployees, making decisions in the area of manpower management, making plans for all kinds insurance, and drawing up policies for the imployees' benefits./ As I am a nurse, my routine duties are as follows: taking histories, keeping charts, giving injections, administering medication, preparing patients for tests and treatments.
