This is the kind of job where common sense, a level head, and a broad range of skills are together invaluable. Those enjoying the highest salaries will almost certainly be those who have been doing the job for 20 years or more. Such people will have built up their skills over the years, having gradually been assigned a wider and wider range of duties.
