Punctuality-守時(shí)

1．守時(shí)是良好品質(zhì)的一個(gè)方面。

2．有的人總是為遲到找許多借口。

3. 守不守時(shí)是個(gè)習(xí)慣問題。

     Punctuality means observing regular or appointed time. A man who gets up at seven o'clock every morning is punctual. A man who has promised to call on a friend at five o'clock in the afternoon and actually does so at that hour is also punctual.

    Unpunctuality is a bad habit. A few minutes delay may not be a serious matter, but it may have bad results. Getting up five minutes later than usual may upset the plan of the day. Calling on a friend five minutes later than the appointed time may cause him some unexpected trouble. Moreover, habitual unpunctuality leads to indolence and even waste of life.

    Those who are unponctual should try their hast to get rid of their bad habit. Like all other good habits, punctuality becomes second nature with those who have duly cultivated it.

守時(shí)

    守時(shí)就是遵守規(guī)定的或約定的時(shí)間。一個(gè)人每天早晨7點(diǎn)鐘起床就是守時(shí);一個(gè)人答應(yīng)下午5點(diǎn)鐘給朋友打電話，他真的在5點(diǎn)鐘打了電話，這也是守時(shí)。

    不守時(shí)是壞習(xí)慣。耽誤幾分鐘或許不是什么大問題，但可能會(huì)造成不良后果。比平時(shí)晚起五分鐘會(huì)搞亂一整天的計(jì)劃。比約定的時(shí)間晚五分鐘拜訪朋友會(huì)給朋友造成意想不到的麻煩。此外，經(jīng)常不準(zhǔn)時(shí)會(huì)導(dǎo)致怠惰甚至浪費(fèi)生命。

    不守時(shí)的人應(yīng)當(dāng)努力改正他們的壞習(xí)慣。像其它好習(xí)慣一樣，守時(shí)成為具有這些好習(xí)慣的人的第二品格。
