大學(xué)春節(jié)英語日記1
the main focus of attention during the spring festival is undoubtedly "grabbing red envelopes".
a large number of people joined the wave of grabbing red envelopes by touching screens and clicking mouses frantically. even the host of the spring festival gala couldn't help but say "it is estimated that almost everyone is occupied in shaking their mobile phones for electronic red envelopes."
there is no denying that this activity has endowed the spring festival's atmosphere with the flavour of high-tech and fun.
however, some people may be trapped in a situation where they put the cart before the horse. for elders, spring festival has been a time of family reunion. unfortunately, things went contrary to their wishes. the young members are always fixing their eyes on the screen instead of communicating with them, which is quite disappointing. the young seem to ignore the connotation of the traditional festival. it was for the very reason that the elders think the spring festival's atmosphere began to decline.
network is a double-edged sword. we can make use of it to keep up to times, or relax ourselves. but all of us aren't supposed to sacrifice the time which should be otherwise spent together with our family due to the addiction to network. anyhow, family is above anything and we should value it a lot.

with the growing of the internet, the biggest highlight of the spring festival is to grab red envelopes on line.
wechat’s gaining popularity helped tencent took a head start in the combat with alibaba, the leader of the internet payment. what’s behind this was shrinking traditional customs: fireworks were no longer welcomed by the people. instead, there needs a new custom to fill the blank. grabbing red envelopes on line attracted thousands of people to join in by its fast, brand-new, and thrilling way to entertain. sadly, what young people who traveled a long distance to go back home did during the festival was not to communicate with the elders but to hold their cellphones all day long , just in order to grab red envelopes and get some money. in this case, we can say missing is better than seeing.
however, the custom of grabbing red envelopes which represents a good wish to the young has lost its real meaning. that is to say, what really matters is the relationship instead of the money.essentially speaking, this phenomenon of grabbing red envelopes on line resulted from the heat love between money and the internet. it’s the carnival of materialism, and nobody won except the internet.
